Currently California and numerous other states engage in a primary election, where the 2 candidates who gain the most votes move on the general election. However much to the dislike of both Republicans and Democrats some would argue that this slows down the process of elections (among other issues brought up). What are your opinions and thoughts on this system?
- Primary elections often have much lower participation than general elections, meaning a relatively small group of voters can determine the nominees.
